The tale of Lucia's crash course in the nature of humanity alongside the valiant Hiro returns on the Saturn in 32-bits of redrawn graphics, full screen cinemas, and more little text box portraits than you can shake a stick at spanning 2 CDs. Plot and music-wise this game subsribes to an "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" policy and what has been changed only adds to the quality of the game. The overall production doesn't seem to have quite the budget that L:SSS had at it's disposal, however. Like Lunar: Silver Star Story, enemies can be seen in the dungeons, which have been redrawn shorter, and the item and magic systems have been altered. Its limited edition package includes trading cards.

Yet another re-release of Silver Star Story, this time done to identify its best-selling status. Nothing has changed in this version except the front cover, but it's a sort of honor and a testament to Lunar's quality to get into "The Best" label.

The Playstation version of Lunar 2: Eternal Blue is not much changed from the Saturn version. It tells an identical story of hope and love in the face impossible odds, which in niether 32-bit version is significantly changed from the Mega CD original. Four new bromides have been added (as in L:SSS, the additional bromides tend to be more... risque,) as well as two new optional dungeons available at the end of the game, and improved video quality for the animation sequences, which increases the game's length to 3 discs. The Playstation even handles L2:EB's complex music well. Also there is some slowdown before fights that wasn't present in the Saturn version. Its limited edition package comes with a poster of the jacket art.

Lunar Legend is a fresh take on the first game, released on Gameboy Advance with all new graphics to suit its handheld format and new alterations to the game scenario to keep long-time fans interested. Of course, the famous cut-scenes are reduced to screen-shots from the 32-bit versions, but despite its format's storage limitations it may the most generally cinematic Lunar yet. Rather than the traditional top-down view, it uses side panoramas for area maps.
