Tokimeki Tonight |
We neglected to mention her on the Introduction page?? Anyway, two people created the original manga story of the Nurse Angel - Akimoto Yasushi (who is a lyricist who worked on Sailormoon and has "Watashitachi ni Naritakute" among his credits, by the way,) and Ikeno Koi. She did the art of the manga. Ikeno Koi is a fairly well known shoujo mangaka, and the best we could do in the way of personal information about her is that she's from Iwate prefecture. All of her works that we know of are below:

Sound farmiliar? Tokimeki Tonight was mentioned twice in the Ririka SOS anime, once by Karin, and again by Mimina. Tokimeki Tonight is Koi-sensei's breakthrough manga, a comedy magical girl story with 3 heroines. Part of it was changed to anime, but it isn't commerically available anymore. It was dubbed into Italian under the title "Ransie la strega", though.
The star of the first 16 volumes is Etou Ranze, a middle school student who conciders herself normal despite the fact that her mother is a werewolf and her father is a vampire. Ranze has the power to transform into anything she bites, living or nonliving. She is in love with Makabe Shun, a sort of rebel in her class and competes for his affections against a snobby classmate. Volumes 17-22 center around Ishihashi Narumi, who's boyfriend is Etou Rinze, Ranze's handsome, popular little brother. Involvement with the Etou family can get anyone caught up in sticky situations, and that's especially true for Narumi, who has magical powers herself! The heroine of volumes 23-30 is Makabe Aira, Ranze (the first heroine) and Shun's daughter. Her story is similar to Ranze and Narumi's, dealing with love and magic.
